-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge yawned as he took off from duty for the night. He pulled a quill and a sheet of parchment from a pouch at his side as he headed toward where his smithy had begun to be set up just on the inside wall of the main part of the castle. He teleported off a few notices to have his supplies and books gathered upon the spot, as well as calling for the two or three volunteer assistants who wished to apprentice the techniques of the former king of Algeroth, Syrus I. Serge's eyes glew bright in the night, shining their azure color as they scanned the ground where he walked. Lately he had noticed that he was developing an ability that his sister had not, a sight beyond sight giving him advantage in the dark and other places of low visibility. He would leave this unnoticed to them for now, but he often wondered what the white marks were that seemed to become more and more apparent each time he used this 'second sight.' They drew out from his pupils and stretched toward the outer of his iris. He shrugged as he caught his dark figure in a puddle, only his shining eyes visible under his flowing cloak. He stepped in the puddle and shattered his reflection as he quickened his pace and met the door of the building that looked like it had been out of commission for quite a while. According to Syrus this place had belonged to another great mage smith who had once worked here, but as Serge thought nothing of it, he made a mental note to maybe ask his sister to research it later. Sarah, now, was surely in the library, as he had asked her what she knew of turning silver and other metals into the mysterious mythril, which was rare to be found pure, and was stronger when forged and not mined.
He pushed open the door with a creak and saw no less than five men working in the dim light there, they had just lit the torches about the room and as Serge appeared above the threshold, the light grew strong, and he eyed one of the 4 fire pits that aligned themselves along the southern wall. He had taken off all armor, leaving him in a silk tunic and riding pants, along with the cloak he now stripped himself of and hung up, placing his seal in one of the pouches that became revealed at his sides. As the last of his metal and supplies arrived he began to form a fire in one of the pits and sighed as he viewed his orders that came from various guards, peasants, and other people. Mostly no one knew that he was going to be practicing a smithy here, and they would want to view his work before they made any serious orders. He found one or two orders that he was quite interested in and he walked over to his desk setting down the scarce pile of papers and viewed specifically the one in his hand. It was an order from Syrus himself to use his imagination to increase the power of the very Archmage herself.
Work on all his other projects would have to wait as he sent out a summons to bring Lynette to his chambers there, so he could draw her sizes, preferences and specifically the ergonomics of her body type, physical curves, and the palms of her hands and fingers. He laughed excitedly and sent out the man, magic would not do, and only a human would be proper to call forth such an important person to the kingdom. He hoped she would be able to make it tonight, but she was not required to answer the summons at all. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The doors opened into the forge bring in the nights chilly wind through the enterance stearing up the fires to a roar. With the wind came a girl that looked to be about her late teens to early 20's with skin that looked to be soft as porcelain in the fires yet slightly tanned, her figure was one of hour glass form yet there was muscles to her arms evidence of hard work. Lorna's eyes were a soft blue of the skies with a hint of silver to their depths, her cheeks soon took on a crimson color when seeing there were others here. This place had been silent for a long time sense the depth of her parent, Athena, her father well it wasn't known whom he was yet she seemed to hold the looks of the royal family of Xexoria but no one ever commented on it.
Loran stopped in her tracks with the winds causing her cloak to ripple around her figure that was dressed in a pale white silk shirt, and leather riding skirt. Boots came up to just below her knees to protect her skin from brush when walking or riding, and sparks when working here in the forge. She gulped some," Sorry please excuse me. I will come back later." she had heard the rumors that someone would begin using this place that had housed many of the kingdoms master weapon masters and forgers. Loran moved acrossed the room with quick steps towards a door that was kept locked shut, and no one had yet to get the key to this room simply because Loran had always carried it with her sense it held some of the last weapons created by the last Mage Forger. She plucked the key from her cloak pocket did she carefully unlock the room, when the door opened it triggered the stones that were in the walls for lights showing a room full of armor, shields, and swords that seemed to hold many years of dust to them. She entered the room to collect a set of boxes that held the armor, shield and weapons of her departed mother, and soon as she had done this did she close the door but left it unlocked.
Boxes in hand did she approach the lad sitting at the desk were papers were stacked with orders, her hand set the key down upon the desk. She gives a light smile yet a shy one," Sorry I should have had the rest of this things out of here before you were setup. I hope you like the place. This key is to the store houses that were setup to hold the weapons of the kingdoms troops. Each noble house, and different warrior and mage class have their own store houses here. " She plucked up some parchments from her pouch, her hands relised them upon the table," Here this are from the border lords. They are requests for new armor, and weapons for their garrasions. I bet you will do good." She turned to quickly head towards the door after a quick look around the room. « Last Edit: February 06, 2006, 04:04:28 PM by Amethyst » Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A tapping to the door came before it was opened by one of the mage knights that worked personally for Lynette. He moved inside followed by his companion both cloaked in black but one held red markings and the other silver for their mage class. Each carried a bow, and sword with them when traveling in the city or traveling when on duty.
As the wind flowed into the room carrying a gentle scent of jasmine and citrus on the breezes current, her head lifted to allow eyes that were turning to a molten pool of silver to view the room. In her hand was held the summons that arrived at her home just after the dinner hour, and having nothing better to do decided to come visit the forge. A smile marked Lynette's lips as her mind kept reminding her to act as the true form of Lyn would around this people, her voice was soft like a larks song," Whom wished to see me this eve?" she called into the room. Upon entering her delicate hands raised to push the hood off her head allowing a flow of blond locks to tumble in curls around her shoulders, her steps were silent to the ear as she was wearing her silk slippers instead of leather boots that were worn when doing her duties and riding. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge looked around confused and stood a bit clumsily knocking over the chair that he sat at. He had noticed that there had not been too much dust covering this room considering that it had supposed to have been inactive for so long. He noted this new pile of work and sighed realizing why there had been such a shortage of, there had been another smith here receiving work. " Please, I could always use the help, do not let me force you out, I insist you stay m'lady...? " He pondered her name for a short time, but more admired her beautiful figure, for a working woman of this tough job she had retained an excellent body.
He shook his head and walked to the door meeting Lynette with a bow. " Lady Archmage, I had received a request to work armor and weapons for you, and I needed to acquire your measurements, he pointed to a nearby fitting room where they would be taken and then he looked around to find a female assistant of his to take them. His eyes widened as he searched frantically. He sighed and looked at Loran with a pleading look about his glowing eyes and whispered, " Could you help me out...partner? " Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loran's cheeks held a crimson color that is evident in the lights, her steps were clumpsy when she moved towards him. She was a shy one alright never really having spoken to many other then the older guards for they were like her family," Hmm it was no biggie. I have yet to take the test that allows a woman the right to work with weapons. I was working here secretly to help the kingdom when no one was around, but if you like I can help you however I can" she said softly.
Eyes of light blue followed the female that seemed almost identical to Athena except she had the looks and eyes of Angel Brightblade whom was Lynette's father, but not Loran's. Loran shakes her head some, her eyes returning to Serge," Oh my name sorry my rude. I am Loran, and please just call me that. I am no lady just a peasant of this lands." she said softly though it wasn't true really but none has been trusted with the truth other then those that had known her mother. She moved towards the small room walking with slow steps, her hands picked up a kit that was used for taking measurments.
Loran wouldn't say much or admit to having watched Serge and Sarah sense their arrival here, and not even sure why she found him interesting the most. Especially when there were many that had asked her to be theres. She shakes the thoughts from her head as her cheeks burned that crimson color once more. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The two mage knights were dismissed to await outside, her eyes looked upon the lad for a moment. Lyn's memories worked to recall what the good half had been through before she had taken over the body," Ah yes I remember now. I spoke with your cousin about you doing some work for me," she chuckled softly. Moving with slow steps towards the room he pointed towards, her figure returned to bow he had gifted to her in one towards him.
Entering the room did she settle upon a chair that was there, her eyes glanced over the room taking in the different furancings in this place. She searched the desert outside the walls for evidence of Sieg incase he was near that might need for her to leave soon but nothing was evident at the moment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge had been pondering about the ball that Lynette had called for and sat back at his desk searching through his mind for ideas of armor that also served as formalwear and such things. He thought hard about the most beautiful thing he could create and suddenly Loran popped into his head for some reason, he blushed and something else raced through his mind suddenly and he jumped up from the desk with a paper pulled from his drawer as he headed over to her, before she entered the room with Lynette. He pulled the door closed hurriedly lest he see something he shouldn't while she stripped for her measurements. He signed a paper upon the door and then handed it to Loran.
This document certifies Loran Brightblade to be an eligible smith and a holds a graduated knowledge of the following: Metalworking, Minor Enchantments, Woodworking, Seamstress, and Minor Charms. He/she is now a documented member of the Royal Algeroth Union of Smithmanship. She is ranked as a(n): Artisan, Smith.
Signed: Serge Ravenshield
He nodded and handed her the document and shook her hand as he went back to her desk talking over his shoulder. " No one should give you trouble now about working here. Also, the paper behind that gives you access to the metal deposits in town, as well as a library pass to the first and second floor, that's as much as I can authorize, I hope it helps. He said trying to hide his blushing face as he sat back at his desk and resumed working through paperwork and thinking heavily so as to look as official as possible. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loran blinked when she took the papers from Serge, her eyes looking over the parchement. Speeches now that this guy would do something like that not knowing her for only a few moments. She looked up from the paper to look towards him," Thank you sir. No one has done something like this before for me." she said softly..
She entered into the room to begin taking measurements did she jot them down upon the notebook that was on the table beside her. She noted the tattoe that was different then her own, her mind wondering what it was about. It was a seal with a lock on it glowing white right now, with black seeming to lock it inside. Loran shakes her head, her mind kept going to Serge while she was busy at work.
A ranger entered the forge, his eyes searching the room." Loran come on girl. We got patrols tonight." he yelled forth not relising others were there. He stopped in his tracks seeing Serge then gulped no one was suppost to know of Loran's aid to the guards and rangers. He bowed lightly to the captain's cousin." evening sir." Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge looked to the room where Loran worked and back to the rangers sighing. Whispering under his breath did he grumble " Will I ever get any work done tonight? " Serge nodded as he stood and walked up to the rangers. " It's obvious to me this girl is skilled, I would like to have her work here for......well, with me tonight. You may take these 4 guards instead. They are from my private guard, and will serve you well as rangers. " He nodded to them and they grabbed their armaments and weapons and all bowed in unison before the rangers. " Now, unless you want me to report you for using a civilian in the line of duty, I suggest you leave before she returns from my errand.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lynette dressed only in the slip that was under her dress was spinning here or there allowing the girl to measure her waist, and around the chest area. The take her upper measurements from shoulder to waist front and back. Eyes watched this female that reminded her so much of her mother, her mind was trying to picture the girl next to the image of her parent," Ah yes you are the brat offspring of my mothers affair." she hissed at the girl. She shued her away after a moment." I think that is enough I wouldn't want you to plague me with your sin." she said at the girl the evil half was evident were the good would have accept this girl as her half sibling.
She took up the note book to jot down the leg length and arm length for her, and measurments for her feet, and hands. She tossed it upon the table before giving a nod to Loran before escaping the room. Lynette gifted Serge with a smile," I will be awaiting to see what you put together lad. thanks for taking the time to do this work for me. " she nods softly. Taking a pouch from her waist after having already redressed did she place it down there was many rare stones and coins inside," this is just the down payment for the work. Have a good evening and don't work yourself to hard." she chuckles escaping the forge with the two mage knights following after her. Logged Amethyst

He knew about this lad but had to wonder now about this two. He just simply shakes his head having known of Loran's interest in Serge for awhile sense her studies and training were always interupted this days.
Loran followed Lynette from the room looking slightly pale now, her eyes watched this women leave having known whom she was, but didn't relise she would figure out who she was. The people of her life had taken such pains to keep it a secret that she was of the noble houses. She placed the measurements down upon the desk, her eyes looked up to meet that of Serge's for a moment. Then shakes her head some as her mind raged stupid do your work don't be day dreaming here, her lips parted did she speak," What else would you care for me to do tonight sir?" she said softly. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge received the note book and scowled, not too much work indeed. Lynette had neglected to give the impression of her hand for ergonomic design, and so Serge, noting the pouch on the table, quickly grabbed some clay from a shelf and cast a spell on the bag, making the fabric remember the thing that last touched it and formed back into a handprint. Serge covered the print in the clay and closed his eyes, the clay would form into an entire hand, perfect in relation to that of Lynette. He sighed, this was the most important part to balancing a weapon, the size and shape of the hand of that which would wield it. For if someone wielded a weapon made by Serge that it was not intended for, it would not work as well.
He noted a tension, slight, but present between Lynette and Loran. " Hey are you okay? " He said as she came out of the room. " You've cost me 4 men, Loran. I hope you're talented enough to make up for it. " He said this jokingly with a big smile as he still pondered what he would make for Lynette. He would go ahead and begin work on some of his other projects before he started this one, he wanted to really put thought into it, to impress the Archmage and all those who viewed her new garb. He shuffled through pages of plain and boring weapons and armor to two more that caught his eye. He pulled them and stood walking over to Loran. " I have something to cheer you up. Some man the other day apparently got trampled in the arena by a man named Marcus. He has provided a hefty sum of money if we can come up with a suit of armor and a weapon to use to help combat a spell that manipulates the body without even having to touch it. As you know, it should be a fairly simple series of spells to make this armor. But, I would like to see you form a set of armor from scratch so I can evaluate your skills. Make this armor to these specifications and you can be a full time partner here, in this place given to me by Syrus. " He handed her a packet of papers containing material preferences and sizes of the man. It seemed that he wished the armor to take on a blue hue, have a silver mark of a lion on the chest, a large shield of any design, and a helm that would do the same thing as the armor in blocking mental manipulation spells.
Serge himself took the papers for the weapon and started up another fire. " You may begin. " Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loran listening to his words while looking over the papers, did her mind work upon the total measurements. She stopped near a statue of a dragon in the corner, her hand lifted to touch the wing did she push back upon it some making the room shakes. Part of the floor moved reviling a set of stairs to a basement room that held an alchemy lap, and test room for spells. Mind totally went to a new subject at the name of Marcus to the first time she had become totally curious about Serge was in the arena fight against the same man.
Heading down the steps as her feet touched the stone caused a gem to come to life lighting the way," Ah yes the guy you were fight with your sister. You did an awesome job." she said softly almost having said he had looked awesome in the fight but caught herself. Loran set the papers down upon the table, her hands picked up a key that was there did she unlock a case that held her mothers notes did she begin going through them for a despell page, and a reversal spell. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge's eyes grew wide at the nonchalantness of opening an alchemy lab. This was his dream come true as no one had told him of this place. He raced down after and said slightly side-tracked. " Not really, unfortunately Amethyst intervined, besides, because of me my sister almost got seriously hurt, so I cannot claim victory there. But yes, I think it will be an interesting way to get back at Marcus to see my armor defeat him. " He said with a laugh. Serge eyed around at all the beakers and equipment nearly drooling on himself. He thought about the man who commissioned him and what would be most effective for him to use against Marcus. Such a small quick man would not do to use a blunt weapon and a small, dextrous weapon such as a rapier might break even if strengthened. Serge comtemplated in his mind the possibilities of a weighted staff, but again, the blunt edge proved too hard for the man to handle, and a spear would do enough. A halberd was the obvious answer. If he cast a spell of cleaving, and added a heat spell, Marcus would know it was Serge that created the weapon. It would open a large wound and cause it to burn the flesh, and even as it was healed, the wound would blister over causing him pain for a week if he was caught by the blade.
" But thank you nonetheless, and we will have to send a note with these armaments making sure he knows to strike at Marcus' shoulders, as I'm sure he's still feeling my katanas. " Serge chuckled. Serge admired her passion for this work and wondered if she liked to do a good job, or if she would be working to impress him, so that they might be able to work together. As he admired her hourglass figure, he suddenly jerked his head away realizing that he had been staring at her rear end and no matter how much she pulled his eyes to the wall or the equipment, he couldn't help himself. He hoped for himself that she did well so they'd be able to work together. " You must be quite a fighter too, to be desired as part of the patrol by the rangers, I look forward to seeing more of you. I MEAN! " He mumbled and knocked over a nearby sword and he jerked to pick it up clumsily. " I mean...to see you more often...not...that is to say there's nothing wrong but...I'll just shut up now. " He said as he walked over to the corner feeling terribly stupid and embarrassed would he start looking through some books. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loran took down a case from the top shelf, her mind triggered off from her thoughts to center her mind upon the fireplace. Deep inside her spirit like that of her mother was a powers that were controled by their mind, her consintration centered around the thought of fire then upon the fireplace. A flash of light fills the room then warm when the logs errupted into flames of a white hot fire. She opened the case for a moment, her figures unrolled some scrolls that were placed in their holding some special seals, her fingers traced the seals to create a molding fire did she imprint it into her mind before placing the scoll back into the case. She turned to the table beside her that held a case of silver pencils that held a different hue around them did she collect two of them to begin tracing upon paper the exact size of mold needed that fitted the measurements for the armor, and helment.
She blinked when she looked towards Serge, her cheeks took on a light shade of rose when she heard his words now," Hmm ah....I would like to see you more also." she said quickly then turned away taking the papers with her once finished with the etchings to create the molds. Kneeling upon the cold floor did she open the chest next to the fireplace inside was sever times of black stones and metals. Loran began to collect the stones from the chest placing them along the paper that held the two molds needed for the making of the armor and helmet.
Eyes closed did she push the paper into the fire with the metals and stones as the metal began to melt did the stones begin to crackle then shatter mixxing with the metal to help harden their mixture to help hold up to the tempatures of melted metals that would be placed into the molds then pulled out once the spells and etchings of designs were finished. The fires reached out to wrap around the girl drawing her into the fire when she stood. her hands Moved along the metaled mixture did she use the image in her mind and measurements did her fingers work pushing the mold out to create the exact amounts needed, her mind keeping back the pain of the fire as she had yet to train to keep it at bay. As she worked her mind would watch Serge that was behind her at the moment. As her hands smoothed the metal and stone mixture making the mold base for the helmet first did she push it forth fold by a second half this two would be used to make to halves of the held then sealed together along with the armor.
Loran's mind was centered upon the mold of the armor, and the outlook it would be when finished so her fingers just worked to that of the image of her made creating the mold needed to make the armor both front and back chest plate, then arms and leg guards. She stepped from the fire once it cooled leaving the new molds sitting there to cool as well would they await the hot metal that would be poured into them to create the actual armor. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge nodded and squinted at her design viewing her technique, indeed she used magic to create her metals, though Serge himself thought that metal should be worked physically and only strengthened by magic. He shrugged and adjusted the ring of strength on his left finger to his right, readying himself for what would be done later. First thing he would need to create the stave and give it it's fire-hardened end to be readied for the actual halberd part of the weapon. He went into the supply room and drew forth a large log and sized it up in the light, taking them back several times until he decided on the size and material. He chose a piece of a great ebon tree and took it over to a large saw blade that was connected to a foot pump. He began running the log through time and time again with his bare hands sending saw dust flying onto the floor as he sized the wood into the handle/stave. He ran up one side and then down the other shearing off thin slices, which he would later use as arrow shafts for the cheaper arrows he was commisioned to make, would he sand those down later. His raw product came to be a staff a little shorter than his total height and about as big around as three fingers width. Next he walked over to a chair in the corner by a window bringing in the open night air. He would use the wind and a sheet of sandpaper to file off about 1/8 of the the staff in order to bring it to a smooth, polished surface. After the staff was done he took out a large shearing knife and began to shape the end into an hourglass shape to ready it for the halberd's head.
There was a large trough in the corner that he filled with a sky blue lacker mixed with stain for the wood that would harden it and bring about a light blue look. To the contrary, when he made the axe blade it would have to be colored during the melting process as changing the color of metal was a tricky business that involved correct proportions of different materials so as not to soften the metal, or evaporate the dye.
Next, as Serge had decided this halberd would have a spear like end at the opposite side he went into the alchemy chamber where Loran was working and gave her a smile before taking two books automatically from the shelf and looking up a cleaving spell, as he had already memorized spells involving fire. His finger flew across page after page until it came to rest on a single spell from a book that Ame had given him.
Curse of Cleaving: This spell will allow the owner's weapon to, once their opponents flesh is split, open a sizeable wound that will not close easily, and as it splits the skin, causes great debilitating pain. Afterwards, the wound, although not deadly on it's own, will cause long bouts of healing before the victim might be able to move without pain. Also, this spell induces heavy scarring around the wound area. Purposes include to dispatch many enemies at once by disabling them as opposed to killing them, as well as taking down an enemy stronger than onesself through disarmament.
The spell was followed by instructions on enacting it upon a weapon. Serge quickly set up with a few ingredients from an unlocked cabinent and walked into the spell room which had barriers around the edge for which kept too much damage being done to outside the room from spells. He set up the circle and then walked back into the alchemy chamber and prepared himself to form the actual metal pieces so that they might be enchanted. Once that was done, the weapon would be put together, casted on by the fire spell, and taped up in response to the ergonomics which were sent and rested in Serge's drawer upstairs. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loran figured she hadn't impressed him with her work of magic in creating the molds, her head shakes did she sigh as she bets he doesn't relise this was just made to form the shape of the person that was buying the items. When the molds would come together they would actually look like a head and body when seen, but they were not the helmet and armor yet. Climbing the stairs upwards her mind consintrated on the molds did she lift them from the floor bring them upwards after her through the enterance to the hidden room. She nods to Serge when she passes him while he works if he didn't watch out he would get struck by the line of molds that were following the female.
Nearing another set of dragons her hands reached out did she push their wings making them part reviving they were like a door into another room were many pots were set up over pits that were filled with dead coals and wood. She glanced to a spot at the center of the room did she place down the molds there for now. Loran would move to the back of the room were cases were taking down a flint and stone did she begin to strike them together near the wood under a pot as a fire takes life eatting away at the wood till it was just coals turning them to a red hot. She takes down a funnel to begin blowing air upon the coals to bring them to a white hot state needed to melt metals, her hands picked up the list to figure out what metals were needed as she began to collect and measure each one equally out as she began to place them into the pot standing upon a stool beside it. She takes out a pool that she begins to use to push the slowly melting metals around making sure they mixed smoothly.
A hand raises to brush the sweat from her brow while she watches the mixture melt down, it had become red hot before it could be lifted from the pot then poured into the molds. She would look towards the other room occasionally to watch Serge at his work as her eyes admired the way his body moved in his duties. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge pulled toward his workbench as the molds passed. Of course he had realized that she had just been making the molds. But, using magic to assist in the process as opposed to using it in the actual formation of armor werer two different things. Her technique was flawless, but it was Serge's personal opinion that doing things the old-fashioned way sometimes brought about a better product, but it would be her end product after all, that he would judge, not the technique. He trotted into the supply room and pulled materials for his own mold, he would fashion obsidian glass into the shape of his weapon and then cast it into melting metal which would form the metal but once the glass is cast, it must be heated much hotter than metal to reshape it.
Once he had cut the glass into what he thought would be a good design, a single large plade with a pike end on top and a shorter blade opposite the large one, along with a seperate spear end for the other end of the staff. He then heated up a lead-like pot full of the mythril and dipped in the glass which would dip into the square box like structure at the bottom of the pot. As the pot cooled back down he pulled out what looked like a large square hammer and Serge did take a large hammer and break the mould in half shattering the glass and sending it out of the mould. Second, he took the pieces of obsidian with a now armored gauntlet that he used while working with the white hot fires. He placed the obsidian in the mix with the mythril and dipped and broke the second mould for the spear end which instantly took on a black appearance. The hardened mould now ready, would he begin to cast both pieces of metal out of steel and obsidian, the metal chosen by the customer. Using the hardened mythril moulds, which, when casted was blue and was worked into the pure white, shining form through many meltings, he left blue, which would, when mixed with a few special heat-resistant dyes add the blue glaze acros the steel and obsidian blade and spear edge.
Once casted, he took both pieces of metal into the room where the spell circle was fully ready and brimming. He closed the door and a bright light did shine around the edges for about 5 minutes before he emerged with the pieces of weapon still teeming with magical energy. He took the blades over to his grinding wheel and began peddling quickly to sharpen them for the final steps. Once ground to a razor edge he attached them all to their respective places on the staff and through oral chanting cast the heat spell and an additional charm to keep the entire concoction sharp.
Lastly he pulled a length of tape from a nearby wall and wrapped about the handle and took it into a back room where he would finalize the weapon in secret with his special ergonomic technique that made the weapon easier to use for it's owner and harder for everyone else. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An explosion is heard from the room beside the main one were the pots were setup for melting metal, as she had placed a pinch of explosive power into the pot knowing when it was red hot it would cause it to explode. She stepped away from the pot now putting on some gloves, her hands curled around the handle of a large pouring pot that is dipped into the mixture then poured into the molds that were for the legs, arms and helmet of the armor. As she poured the hot melt flowed out filling all the holes of the mold. She continued this action till all the molds were filled, and the melt all used up. She let the fires begin to burn down now while her steps carried her towards the molds, her body kneeling upon the floor beside the seal of a white dragon. Fingers caressed over both dragons as it made the floor sink downwards like a platform with a rush of cold air filling the room did the floor become normal it would be like she had disappeared taking with her the molds and extra metal that would be used to seal the two halves of each mold together.
As the platform went down the white dragons shifted to red for it would help keep the molds hot till she was ready for them to drawn into the room that was coated in ice that slowly cooled the metals while her hands were busy forming the items she was working on into the shapes requested. She moved into the room did she summon the first set of halves for the right leg, her mind ticked back to the measurements of this mans legs for a moment this in mind, her hands began to work forming the shape and contures of the human body into the shape of the metal. As the metal began to form a solid shape from the cool air of the room, did her mind settle upon the pot of hot metal summoning some of it to float through the air towards her now. Hands picking up hammer and chizal did she begin to hammer at the two molds till they shattered from around the leg armor, did she take the metal that came towards her into the palms of her hands. Using this did she begin to seal the two halves together with a push here or a mold here of her hands sliding along the leg plates in slow motion.
Once that piece was finished would it reappear in the room above upon a dumb that was setup for the holding of armor till the owner came to get it and while the works carved in the symbols the person wished, and spells were casted upon the armor. She began to shiver from the cold, and knew she would probably be fighting a fevor come morning from the back and forth in the two different elements. Loran rised did she enter the shield once more to collect this time two pieces of the arm plates taking them into the ice room below the forge, her hands began the same workings as her mind clicked onto the measurements taken of the hands and arm did her fingers begin to work to mold the contents of the arms muscle and shape into the armor plate. No one but those this armor was made for would be able to wear it, her mind lifted the pot once more bring forth some of the metal from it's contents to be brought towards her. Hammer though faint is heard as she chizzled away the mold from the arm plat while her fingers slowly smoothed the metal that would bind the two halves together once finished it would look like one piece.
Through the night she would work upon each piece but he wouldn't relise wear she was or see her. But upon the manicon the arm plates and leg plates along with hand guards and boot guards would appear there. As midnight was nearing would the main chest plat be brought into the ice room, her body was turning almost blue now from the long hours of work in the room, her hands began to push and mold the chest plates inch by inch forming the actually look of a human body into the metal like she was actually building a metal human. She stood slowly though shakey now from the work, her steps were slowly when she began to push the molds upwards pressing them together did she take up the hammer and chizzel from the floor to begin chizzeling away the metal mold from around the armor. As the pieces began to hit the floor loud booms could be heard from the breaking of each piece but the sound was held inside the room were she worked. As the mold fell away her eyes looked at the two piece of chest armor for a moment, her mind lifting the pot now to draw into the room as she began to deep her hands into the mixture before returning it to the platform to keep warm the rest that would be used to form the helmet. She began to mold the two pieces together creating the curves of the sides into the armor, her mind lifted this final piece of the many armor up into the room to appear upon the dumb letting it rest and cool while she worked upon the shape of the helm now.
Loran's mind would search the room above to seek out what Serge was doing now, her lips held a smile upon their future while she watched his movements. She almost had to chuckle at herself for being this interested in anyone for she knew that it would be frowned upon for her to wish to be with a noble at all for she was no better then a peasant in this kingdom do to her birth. She sat down inside the fire shield now while her mind transered to the image of a lion upon her mind, her hands began to work upon the visor of the helm forming it into the face of a lion, her finger worked slowly creating each line and conture that was evident in her mind of the lions face. The rest of the helm would be formed to fit the shape of the man's head, her hands would pick both holds up carrying them into the room to cool while she began to chizzle the piece of the helm loose did she begin to mold first the to side of the cover that would go over the head, then molds the visor on so that the one half closed to lock over the mouth then the other came down over the eyes leaving slots that looked like the eyes of the lion open to see through this was soon brought upstairs into the room to place upon the head of the dumb to cool. Now all that needed done was the spell casting, and art work upon the crest. Well then the approval of Serge, and the buyer. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge watched as occasionally she would pass his field of vision as he finalized his testing on the product. Though, the weapon was meant for another, he could tell how it would feel by the new owner, as he was the maker and he knew every ounce of weight and where it was differentiated in relation to the hands at any one time. He took it to the spell room, and so to make sure the weapon was not too powerful or too weak did he strike upon one wooden dummy after another, made from scrap wood and metal. At each place where he did strike, the wood opened, cracking as no more than cinders of fire curled bits of loose wood back and filled the 'wound.' As he watched the wound did open enough to cause damage without causing a fatal injury and the fire would seal off the blood flow, causing the victim, still greater pain, but divert having him bleed to death.
As she walked by once more he noted that she was nearly freezing to death in her state of pale blue. He walked up behind her once and pulled a cloak over her shoulders and he hugged her around the shoulders from behind, releasing a small quantity of magical heat into the surface of her skin. " Once you get used to this, it won't happen as much, but until then you should try this. " He handed her a large flask of the last of his dragonhorn soup from before and instructed her that if she wished she could break and warm it up over one of the fire pits. He studied the wounds for a short time longer to make sure they would not explode or have some unknown countereffect. As his product was finished he left her and grabbed the halberd ready to take it into the back store room and lock it up with the key he had molded from silver while she wasn't paying attention. He had made two silver decorated keys, each opened the front and all the rooms minus the lab and cold room which were simply opened by the dragon's wings. Next, he would join her by the fire and present it to her, in the form of a necklace, which he had fashioned both of the keys into to signify their new partnersip. She did great work and did work hard, he would be proud to have her join him. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loran blushed lightly when she tilted her head to look at him over her shoulder before he left to put away his finished work," I will try it and break so long as you do also. I usually don't use the cold room when working but were this needed to be done quickly I used the room." she said softly. She took the necklace from his hand as their fingers brush against each others did she blush lightly, her hands deposited the necklace around her neck to let it lay rested against the dragon pendant that layed there also.
She took down a smaller pot that was on the shelf did she put the dragonhorn soup into the pot before placing it over the fire to warm. Taking down a couple spoons and bowls from the top shelf did she set them down upon one of the empty work tables. Loran took a bigger spoon to stir the soup with while she was in deep thought," Maybe if you like I can show you the store rooms that the king keeps locked up. They hold the weapons that are signature ones of the past forgers were." she said softly. Loran had a key to that room, and no one else but the king held the other one. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He nodded enjoying the wafting smells of the dragonhorn soup. Surely he would have said normally that using water to cool armor was more effective, also that it allowed the metal to 'boil' in a sense on the last places you forged, namely the seals on the armor, and made those places stronger. He did not want to hound her, as he had already gave her suggestions that had seemed like corrections. He nodded and seemed interested though he spoke with an air of curiosity. " Sounds, great, though I would like to know what your signature craft is. " He said with a soft, informal smile, something that Serge did not often do, but something about a female sharing this craft that was known to be a man's work, was somewhat, nice. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loran knew he was finding many faults in her work and other ways she should have been doing her work to make it last longer or be stronger. She sighed some not looking towards Serge, her hands were busy pouring the soup into the two bowls before she takes a sit on one of the stools at the far end of the work table. Hand picked up the spoon did she slowly push the soup about letting it cool some before enjoying the taste, her lips parted to whisper softly," Well I don't really have one. It's said that it sometimes takes a forger a long time before they find that one skill they are good at." she said softly.
A sigh passed her lips did she pick up her bowl taking it with her did she enter the hot room were the metal was melted for uses. she set the bowl down, her hands taking up a hammer did she move to the armor. She began to tap it in different places testing for weak spots if any was found then she would restart all over again to make it stronger, her mind was busy once more thinking up the image of a lion like this customer wished on the crest then she would set to work upon it if the armor didn't need to be remade. Loran's mind clicked to her special set of tools she used for make small markings and enlay gems in her jewelry, her mind made up did she stand from the stool that she had moved to. She reentered the main room heading towards the door," I shall return in a few going to get some air and get some tools. " she said over her shoulder. She was going to work the rest of the night to try to do a better job to please him.
Exiting the forge did she move with quick sure steps towards the castle gates into the city. She would merge into the shadows moving unseen along the main path towards the shopping section of town while her fingers searched her pockets for a set of keys to the jewelry shop. Loran wouldn't know for sure if he would follow or not. « Last Edit: February 09, 2006, 08:21:03 PM by Amethyst » Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After she left he laughed heartily, only in a way that he was the only one to hear it. She would come and go as she pleased he knew that, but she had just up and left in the middle of work hours. Though, given it was her break time, he was dying of curiosity to see where it was she went when not sneaking into the forge in the middle of the night. He moved over to one of the crates of his things from Castle Warheight and removed a black cloak and a belt inlayed with gold with the markings of a serpant upon it. He left the opposite way she did and locked the front knowing that no one would dare force open the back lest the risk getting their hands removed. Serge donned the cloak and drew up the hood and, with the belt safely over the cloak it seemed as if his appearance had become non-existant to the naked eye.
Serge did run up the wall opposite the forge and bound back and forth until he came to the top of the building opposite and he did flip backwards off onto the forge's roof. He silently crepped to the crest of the building and watched as she rounded the corner a few streets down pulling out a key. He trotted across the roof and bounded across one roof and then another, wishing he had brought different boots to grip some of these older roofs. He managed to make it to the roof of the jewelry store with relative ease and he did swing down onto a pole that held up a floral arrangement near a closed window. He took a stave off his back and laid it across the pole, placing his legs upon the ends and swinging down upside down to the window, his cloak only staying out of his face by the 'quip of the belt. He watched as she entered the store and walked around the dimly lit room. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loran peaked around her feeling that someone was watching what she was doing or where she was going, then shrugs her shoulders some when she didn't see anyone there. She walked into the jewelry store, her hands opened a small chest at the back of the room. She fingered a set of mythril, and black vocanic rock mixed armbands they held the looks of green and gold mixed creating serpents upon them.
An image played upon her mind for a moment then she shake it away, her figure was in the way for him not to be able to see what she was touching. Loran picked up the armbands did she place them into a small box before putting it with her tools. Steps were slow taking her to the chest along the wall did she finger through them taking out a pouch of gold, and some brown gems that would mix together to create the colors of the lions face and mane. She collected some black glass from another chest for the eyes of the lion then turned to leave the room closing the door did she lock it up. Loran headed back towards the forge, her fingers brushed over the box not sure why she had choice to bring them with her.
She sighed speaking more to herself," Maybe that is why they keep telling me I am not a good enough to be a forger," she whispered remembering all the words Serge had said, or not said that had been in his looks when seeing the armor or the ways she did things. Head shakes when she passed the guards giving a nod of her head towards them before entering the forge still feeling that someone was following her. Loran set the box on Serges desk before entering the small room once more to begin the rest of the nights work. She locked the door behind her so he wouldn't see what she was doing. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge reached up grasping the staff and dropping his legs down, and as his weight fell upon his arms he let go of the staff with his right hand and he fell to his feet, cloak falling all around him as he touched the ground with his left hand. He would come back to check this place during the day when it was open, but normally he made all his own jewelry. The rings of strength on his right hand glew brightly, with their golden etchings. He smiled, these had been given to him by a great man, and although Serge had always thought to add to them, he could never bring himself to alter the design, or add more enchantments to his armor that made him stronger, but perhaps it was time. He would test the rings tonight to see if their charm had diminiished and begin work on them tomorrow, where he would add vambraces that would connect to the rings as the rested on his middle finger, creating what was known as an 'Archer's Throng' vambrace.
As his cloak ruffled around him, now reaching the ground did he place the staff back on his back, with a click as it attached to it's clasp. He watched as she rounded the corner and eyes widened, what would she think if she arrived at the forge and he, who owned the place had left it in the middle of the night. His eyes darted and he raced to where she had been before running full speed up the side of the wall to the building that did reside next to The Forge. He released his staff and drove it into the wall as he lost momentum and slung himself over it, leaving the plain wooden staff on the roof as he dove into the open second-story window of the forge, and as she walked in, he would come from downstairs with a yawn, pretending to have been taking a break in the entertainment room upstairs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When he came downstairs would he find the box sitting upon his desk. It was made from oak, and carved into the top was a serpent, and inside was the armbands she had made from mythril and volcanic glass with the inlays with greens, and golds to create the serpent look upon the armbands. If he looked for her now it would be to find the room were she had been working was closed, and it was locked.
The scent of smoke and melting metal was filling the air from the room as she worked to soder the outline of the lion into the chest plate of the armor, and also lines upon the helmet that would give it the look of an actually lions maine. As she sodered away the metal living black lines for the time, her free hand would begin to slowly brush the black from the metal with a wet cloth also cooling the hot metal. Loran looked towards the door occasionally also having closed the shutters on the windows to keep her work hidden for now. She stretched her back as it began to ache from the rock, her hand set the sodering tool to the side while she inspected the outline that was forming from her mind.
As the night melted away towards the lights of dawn the room was hot as she was slowly heating a pot to melt the gold and brown stones mixxing them together to create the gold brown of the lions coat. There was two pots at first as she took the gold to line the metal were she had burned slowly running the tip of her knife along the lines as she slowly etched in the look with color now. After the gold would come the brown over top would she allow this to cool while inlaying the black glass into the eye sockets over the lining of brown and gold stones that were melted. Loran listened to see if he entered or unlocked the door would she then toss a cloth over the work.
The helm was sitting at the table while she worked under the lights slowly inlaying the stones of gold and brown working some metal in between each stone as the mane look comes to life. She picked up the piece examining it before she placed it into a case to lock it shut, her hand carryng the case would she step into the main room for a moment," Here is one piece done sir" she said lightly before placing it down for his inspection before returning to the room. Upon reentering would she lock it once more. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge looked up from his desk with a start, just glad she had thought he had been there the whole time and was glad himself that she took such measures to impress him that she would work in secrecy like that. He shrugged and walked over to the case on the counter. He couldn't decide if he wanted to open it or not, as the entire set would probably be better to view all at once. He had already memorized the charm that allowed no metaphysical attack to damage the owner of the charm directly. He decided he would not impart the charm unto the armor unless she asked it of him, though he had commited it to memory and no longer needed ingredients or to set up a spell circle or altar.
Serge opened the case and pulled it forth from the box. He turned it this way and that, looking inside and closely at the linings on it's bottom. He pulled out his notepad and double checked the measurements. In the way the armor was designed, Loran had fulfilled his one rule, that he held above all other rules. If a weapon and armor are made in a set, the weapon will be ineffective against the armor. She would allow Loran, once the suit of armor was completed to test the weapon upon the armor, in case the halberd was ever turned on the 'Aqua Lion' 's armor, would it not harm him in the way it would his enemies. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once she finished the armor as well did she reunlock the doors, her mind was busy on thoughts of spells. she headed towards the steps down to the Alchemy lap. Mind was bsy centered upon the Armor and Helm making them lift from were she had left them to follow her down the steps into the alchemy lab. She set them down just by meer thought in the spell room, her hands take down a couple books that were locked shut did she unlock them. This spells were kept locked up enless a mage was using them to enchant weapons and armor, her fingers began to flip through the pages. Loran settled down to sit upon the stool that was near the fire place, her eyes were reading the list of spells. She picked up the notes to scan them for a moment, then speaks to herself," Hmmm Force spells is what this marcus guy uses," her fingers scanned the pages while she reads searching for the right types of spells.
Loran entered the spell room did she not test the spells in mind upon the armor, but instead turned certain stones did the room seem to change into an arena. As her mind recaptured the image of Marcus from the fight she had watched in the tavern that night did the very illusion of this man appear in the room. Or maybe it wasn't an illusion but the man himself.
Marcus blinked did he turn around some trying to figure out where he was at, his eyes settled upon the outcast girl that was sitting on the other side of the place that looked like the very arena of his fathers tavern," What the hell ? where am i ? Speak up damnit girl." he growled at her in his usually loud gruff tone. He moved acrossed the arena towards the girl, his eyes were watching her closely noting the joints of her body.
She smirked at the man," Well you see I was thinking I would do a little test. So I figured you could use a little fight." she said softly. Loran was leaning against the wall, her body was void of weapons all she had was the spells that were inside her head. She rested her feet before her figure crossed, her eyes would look towards the enterance to the room half expecting Serge to come in there being curious of what she was doing. She had noticed he had ignored the box rested upon his desk.
Marcus snickered lightly," Oh man you must be wishing for death girl to fight me with out some kinda weapon." he chuckled then cracked his neck some. He stood there eyeing the girl for the time, his eyes searched as his mind was locking upon her bones observing them for weak spots that would make for the easiest breaking points. « Last Edit: February 10, 2006, 09:46:13 PM by Amethyst » Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loran watched marcus when he neared the center of the spell room that now looked like an arena. Eyes left him for but a moment glancing to the enterance of the room, her vision settled upon the lock with a tilt of her head did she make the locks snap shut not allowing enterance into the room. Smile marked her lips when she looked upon the man," Yes maybe I do have a death wish. I am glad you could volenteer for this little test of magic." she snickers some.
Marcus arched an eyebrow at the young females words towards him, then chuckled lightly," Well if it's magic you want then lass. It shall be my pleasure." he snickered. Eyes began to narrow when he glanced upon her right shoulder letting his mind center into the spot were the arm joint was, his hands began to raise upwards as a sarcastic smirk appeared upon his lips. As his mind narrowed towards the spot did his hands come closer together as fists were formed to rest together before his body, he would break them apart with his hands turning sideways and if successful would cause the joint of her arm to break.
She was watching him, her hands raised did she chant a spell in her mind," Peace, Harmony act as one create a shield from the torment, spread far and wide down from the mind. Peace, Harmony lock as one like a net protect the body of your host not just the mind." her words were peaceful in her mind creating a sense of harmony as a light began to thread through her mind. As she continued to chant her words in her mind the net of light spread flowing with her blood to weive around the bones of her body. It created a shield against him finding enterance to her joints with his mind like a shield. As she noted this down her mind was at work how to use this in the armor, her hands spread forward when her mind reached towards the man letting her mind center upon Marcus mind with the contact of their eyes . A smirk crossed her lips when their minds merged did she center upon his constration upon her joints snapping unknown to him so when he break his hands apart instead of her joints breaking did his shoulder snap in half.
Marcus gasped in pain when he felt the bones breaking in his shoulder," Damn it bitch you will die for this," he hissed at her. He charged towards her now, but as he neared did the light flood around him now taking him back to the very streets he had been drawn from due to the teleport spell.
Loran turned to the armor, her mind was set she would have to spend the rest of the night using her mind to enchant the stones of this armor with a piece of her very soul to create this spells choicen so when he tried to use the force spells upon the armors wearier would the chant kick in creating the shield over the man, so his bones were hidden like one hides the thoughts of their mind. She moved with slow steps towards the armor, her fingers caressed over the metal while she was in deep thought, and once the shield would raise and the eyes of the two meet would the reversal spell come into action. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The winds began to pick up in the room, her mind centered upon the helmet and armor did she use the wind currrent to lift them. As she did her body lifted into the air, her hand dug one of her daggers from her boot with slow motion. Another part of her mind watched incase Serge tried to interupt her. Loran brushed the dagger over her wrists letting the blood of her veins flow into the wind as it circled around the armor and helment, her eyes closed when she began to glow a gold color around her figure that slowly grows. Arms stretched from her sides when her eyes began to open, her eyes glowing gold now as threads of light came from her finger tips when she began to spin in a slow circle with the wind current that was becoming like a tornado in the room. As it began to spin the gold light wrapped around the drops of blood did it begin to draw it together into a line mixxing it with the gold light that left the armor for a moment to come back swirling around her. It curled like serpants around her legs moving upwards coating her figure in blood and gold as it comes to her waist then slowly upwards, her eyes began to close slowly when it neared her head if one watched it was like a cocoon was closing around her body. When it sealed a shattering explosion of light flooded through the room as light and blood locked together over her head now before drawing back away from her body the same image of her now but totally gold a very mold.
Loran moved towards the armor with the image following her lead as she began to caress the helm and armor gems with her touch the image began to fade into each stone. A part of her now would live in the very armor enchanting it with a guardian, her eyes were closed as her mind chanted the two spells locking them into the stones to create instant attack spell and shield when Marcus or anyone tried to use the force spells upon the wearier. The stones now glowed and eerie color deep their gold and brown surface there was red seen beneath for a moment then it faded it would only appear when the attacks were needed.
She dropped to the floor, her body weak now as she closed her eyes allowing the mind to unlock the door, and deliver the armor and helm into the final inspection room. Loran stayed there in the room for a moment, her wounds were open still though the blood was dry. She raised slowly though light headed and pale looking did she come to lean against the doors frame," Well I hope it meets with your inspection sir." she whispered softly. The hours of dawn were near, and her time there was now finished till the next night," Well I shall take my presences out of your shop so you can get some work done. " Loran looked at the desk seeing the box laid untouch, her steps carried her towards the desk for a moment. Hands picked up the box from the desk did she take it with her figuring he might have been curious what was inside but hadn't touched it or her mind would have sensed it so she took it with her from the forge.
Loran headed into town knowing that she needed to eat some food then get to the jewelry shop to start her day there. She stopped off in the cook house for the guards did she nod a greeting to them before passing going to collect some bread, and some cheese from the counter then head out once more. One of the guards stopped her," you look tired girl you should rest. Don't forget you got the test today to take to finalize your enterance into the rangers ." he pats her shoulder before relising the girl to go her way. Out into the city she went nibbling on the little norishment she would have for the day, her steps carried her automatically into the jewelry shop. Loran looked at the shop owner then handed him the box," Here just as well add this to the items for sale. " she said softly then headed to the back corner in the shadows were she would sit to look over her orders for the day.
The owner of the store had followed her to the back corner, and being tired and on one train of thought did she not relise he was there behind her. Well that was at least not till a hand came at to smack her hard at the side of the head sending her into the wall, " Damnit girl your so god damn slow at this work. I should get some one better. This orders were due today." he hissed even through he knew that they weren't due till done sense people were patient for the work Loran did. He stood over her, did he prepare to lay a kick to her side," you should be here working at night also instead of wandering off to that damn forge. you know your never going to get hired to do weapon forging. you should stick to making jewelry like a good little girl." He snickers leaving her lay there when a customer comes in," Now get your ass off that floor and get to work or no pay today." « Last Edit: February 15, 2006, 08:35:35 AM by Amethyst » Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serge stared at the box before him, as well as the armor that rested now beneath the counter thanks to a final guard that was leaving, for it was morning and the official work was done. Serge lifted, carefully, the lid to the box and stared at the braces inside. Instantly millions of ideas flooded his mind and he wondered if this had been a peace offering from Loran. He pulled them out, they gleamed as the sun had just mounted the horizon and poured into the window and over the braces causing them to shine with all their splendor. First thing after he left the shop he would go thank her, but for now he had some work to do for himself.
First he would forge a maleable connection from his rings to the braces, so that the entire object would move with him. The rings, each of which would rest on the middle finger of the hand they were equipped to, would be connected, via those pieces of bendable metal and leather to the braces. Along the bottom of his wrists he would fasten flint strips to the leather to assist in his flame attacks, but for now he had his work cut out for him. Next, he would add retractable blades that locked into place on the outsides of those braces, an idea he had been waiting to implement to Syrus' gauntlets for some time now, but of course he would never allow Serge to alter the armor made by the former king himself. He would have to go out later and buy some emerald and sapphires for his plans for the blades, and he remembered having seen some in the shop as he peered in on the young girl last night.
Serge was positively beaming as he cracked his knuckles and went back into the storeroom to begin preperations to work without rest until it was time to head to his post. At such a time he planned to stop and see Loran, but he hoped that maybe she would stop by at some point before then, it seemed she had been nervous about something the night before, and he had meant to ask her about it. But she had taken flight as soon as her project was done, and he hadn't gotten a chance to inquire about it. The man that requested that armor would be there in four hours, so in the next two hours Serge would have to begin inspecting every meticulous detail for himself. Logged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loran worked through the day there was a mark upon her cheek now from were when she had hit the floor from the shop owners hit some of the sharp stones had sliced the left side of her face pretty bad. She stretched her mind to search the city for something intereting to be happening today but nothing was seen so her mind ticked to the forge, her hands were busy working on their own.
As she worked upon a necklace ordered by one of the main houses of Xexoria. They had requested a dragon pendant with wings spread with emeralds and silver stones, her fingers were smoothing out the hot gold metal mixed with silver so it layed flat in the mold of the dragon form. As it was begin to dry her fingers would begin to set the stones into the small holes that had been formed into the metal from the tip of a small metal pipe she used. Yet as she worked her mind would watch Serge's activities in the Forge, her lips held a smile seeing his reaction to the arm bands glad he liked them and was doing what he wished with the set. Loran had created that way so that he could do what he wanted, her fingers plucked up a chain did she work the now cooled dragon upon the chain before placing it into the velvet case to be given to the owner. One project done more to go. Logged

Serge stared at his project and instantly an idea flashed into his mind for his father, Darius. He had started on a project for him, and hadn't known how to finish it, and thanks to Loran's braces he knew. Serge went into a back room and emerged bearing two dark green and black metal arms and gauntlets of a curious design. When put together, it formed a leviathan, with the finger's sporting makeshift rectractable fangs. The face of it rested upon the top of the hand and a scaled and razored body led up to the tail which flared out into the metal plates that would be the shoulders of the armor. Serge imagined forming wings for the leviathan out of razor sharp blades in the shapes of wings that would be able to fold into the armor or lock into place as weapons. He smiled and silently thanked Loran as he looked closer at the braces that she had given him, fire emitted from the serpants mouth on the design and a smile crossed his lips as he went into the back room and a fire was heard to roar there. Guards gathered around the smelting room which had the magic testing room inside, Serge had locked himself away from the actual storefront and bright flashes of light and burning metal could be heard for an hour straight. Suddenly a yell of joy emitted as he began forming the spell and the special mouth of the leviathan that he was now forming in secret. His idea had worked and he would continue working on it for now, all the while wearing those braces that she had given him until such a time that he would begin working on them.

As her mind was upon the astral plains did she hear the thoughts, and silent whispers of those that were near the forge. She had allowed her mind to drift into the magic test room did she watch him while also working upon another order. As silent whisper would be heard in his mind," Your Welcome Serge." her tone seemed to be right there almost making you wonder if she was in the forge still but had found another hidden room to work in. Loran's fingers were tapping the outlines of a tiger in the metal armbands that were sitting upon the desk before her, next to her was a case of white stones, and black volcanic rock that would be place into the metal to create the look of a white tiger. Free hand picked up a cloth that was wet did she brush it over the armbands working the loss metal away from the armbands making it look smooth as glass. Setting the tools to the side did she pick up the twizer like tools did she begin to place the stones into the lines she had created forming the tiger while the metal was begin to cool. Into the metal went lines of black then white stones as the metal locked around the stones and glass trapping them into their cooling grasp as she finished the work, her hands picked them up looking them over a moment. Then a smille marked her lips did she place them into a box,her hand waved the guard waiting forward," Here is the order for Sarah done. I hope she finds to her liking." her tone was peaceful it was suppost to be a suprise gift from the guards that worked with Sarah because they had come to like her, so bought a gift created by one of the best jewelries in town.
With this done would she rise to start putting away her items as the day was coming to a close, her stones were locked away into a case sense they were some of the best , and she never allowed the shop owner to get this rare stones. She only shared them with few.
