Castle Warheight is nestled deep in the heart of Algeroth. It is ruled over by the Warheight Clan, a family descended from the greatest of the ten sages that protected the earth time and time again all that time ago. Not too many years ago, it was ruled over by a fearsome king, who was loved by many and feared by more. He was a just and fair king, but he dealt blows to those who would endanger his empire with an iron fist, for it was a holy land, watched over by Naos, who had entrusted his family to protect that very land, the shrines on it's soil, and the many secrets and treasures hidden to the naked eye. He was known as Syrus Azrael Warheight I. He had two sisters and one brother, most of whom are dead now, and they're offspring scattered about, some jealous of the right to rule not laying on their heads. Some simply wandered off to find their destiny and were lost in different family ties and led their lives away from the glorious king.
Syrus I was known to be a great fighter, powerful mage, and the best smithy in all the world. He concocted such fabulous gifts, that everything he made that was not bestowed upon his two sons, rests with the kings of many great lands. He did bear two sons, Sieg, and Auron. Sieg was the oldest, but was born out of wedlock and was the bastard son of a descendant of the House of Darkspear. They were, too, descendants of a great sage, but had turn awry to the teachings, and became outlaws, theives, and general menaces to society, but caused no harm in the grand scheme of things. Auron, who was born as the son of Syrus and the Oracle, was the younger of the two boys. His mother lived as a great soothsayer and healer in the East Tower of the castle. She was a descendant of the Gottheit clan, once more she descended from one of the great sages, many of whom became High Preists, monks, and generally did great things with their lives though they never ruled a land of their own, so many of them were travellers and much about their family as well...are left unknown.
Syrus, who was, unusually skilled in many forms of combat from his youth, joined the highest class in the military at the age of 12, he became a knight in the Order of the Phoenix. He was sent out on a mission at a very young age as an emissary to talk with the Pendragons. Though, due to a highly unfortunate accident, he caught sickness and nearly died at the foot of the castle in Camelot. Over the years, he regained his memories, and at the age of 20, set out again for the land of his birth. He returned to find his father dead, a single sword resting in his heart. He had been murdered by Auron's brother, Sieg, in an attempt to take the throne, and invoke some ancient prophecy that Auron later attempted to understand. Auron, who had taken the last name Pendragon when he lost his memories, assumed that as his middle name, and in honor of his father, changed his name to Syrus II. (Syrus Auron Azrael Pendragon Warheight. ) It seemed that Sieg, had stolen the Akvahr Protius, a sacred treasure, and had learned of the curse that would be bestowed upon the most powerful Warheight at all times from a great many centuries ago. The ten sages, in their infinite power, had locked away the High General of Kaos, God of Misery, and immortal enemy to the god which watched over the Warheights, Naos. After Syrus I's death, it came to be Auron's curse, and Sieg seeks to destroy the entire Warheight line, becoming stronger with each death, until the day he might kill Auron (Syrus II). Currently, Sieg is on the run with the book, and is hunting down members of the Warheight clan. Syrus II (Auron) left Algeroth, rebuilding from the ashes of the death of it's leader, to become ever stronger, and vowed to not take the throne of his birthright until Sieg was undone.
More to come.
