Razzerarok comes from a tribe of rare, almost never-seen denizens of the unexplored, uncivilized northern forests; he is a werewolf, a natural born shape shifter that has traits of both human and wolf. When in his wolf form, he appears as an unusually large timber wolf; this is the form that people usually see his kind as, and is often identified by a more familiar name; Dire wolf. When in hybrid form, he resembles a powerfully built man with a wolfs head, legs, tail, and fur. His human form is...misnamed. For no-one would ever mistake Razzerarok for a human. The large wolves ears sticking out from the tangled mop of hair that tops his head is one's first clue, as are the tail and the wolves eyes. As one gets closer, they realize he also possess the wolfs ankle setup and furred paws for feet, and the facial structure has a slightly elongated nose, with an oversize olfactory bulb, and jaw, which is lined with longer, sharper teeth and prominent canines, in addition to housing a longer, flatter tongue. These make it hard for him to communicate in the common tongue, though he can understand it clearly and read it perfectly. Also, his fingers are slightly shorter and significantly wider than normal, and end in short, black, un-retractable claws instead of normal fingernails.
As for Razzerarok himself, he was part of his mothers third litter of pup, which also contained two brothers and a sister. His great-grandfather, who had been the previous possessor of Benglasse's book, selected the newborn pup to be his successor and trained him for the first several years of his life, until the old wolf passed on. With the book came possession of Geoith's Fangs, a necklace and spear handed down through the generations that was of great importance to both Razzerarok's family and the clan he was born to. Geoith was the great werewolf hero who, among other things, quested for the ancient spear and retrieved it from the manticore's lair where it had lain for centuries, slew the drake Silverscale in tooth to tooth combat, and led the great Exodus centuries ago that took the werewolves away from the forest where Xeroia now stands, over the mountains, and into the vast northern forests the clans now inhabit.
As Razzerarok grew up, he proved himself to be extraordinarily talented, mastering the rare spear-fighting techniques (Steel in general and spears in particular are an almost un-heard of quantity to the werewolves) of Graararag quickly, and proving his worth as a possessor of the book of Benglasse at the age of six and a half, when he Earthmelded for the first time. At age ten, he pulled together a strong pack and has led it ever since, rising rapidly in the clan and proving his worth as the cheif's son, even though he is too far removed from the title to ever hold it...not that he cares. Still, when something important needs to be done, an item retrieved, an enemy of the clan killed, Razzerarok and his pack are the strongest Jaw the Geoith clan has to offer to do the job.
